Overview
You can import quizzes from QTI packages in New Quizzes. You can only use QTI packages to create a new quiz. You cannot modify an existing quiz using a QTI import.
- Question groups linked to question banks are not included in QTI imports.
- New Quizzes only support imports from QTI 1.2 and 2.x versions. However, some QTI 1.2 and 2.x 3rd party packages include software-specific item types which may not be supported.
- When creating a quiz from a QTI import, the new quiz is given the same title as the imported QTI file.
Instructions
Open Quizzes
In Course Navigation, click the Quizzes link.
Note: You can also access quizzes from the Assignments page.
Add Quiz
Click the Add Quiz button.
Create New Quiz
In the Choose a Quiz Engine screen, select the New Quizzes option [1]. Then click the Submit button [2].
Edit Quiz Details
Edit the details for your quiz
Save Quiz
To save quiz details, click the Save button [1]. To open the New Quizzes build page and import content, click the Build button [2].
Import Content
Your quiz will open to the Build page [1]. To import content, click the Options icon [2] and select the Import Content option [3].
Import QTI File
To import a QTI file, drag and drop the file [1] or select a file by clicking the Browse button [2].
To start the import, click the Import button [3].
View Import Status
A status bar will display the status of your import.

View your imported quiz.
