Overview
Deleting media is an easy process in Kaltura. You can use either My Media or Media Gallery to delete media files. Using My Media will allow users to delete multiple files at the same time. Once media has been deleted, it is gone forever (regardless of whether My Media or Media Gallery was used to delete the media).
Deleting Media using My Media
After entering a Canvas course, select My Media. Select the checkbox next to the video thumbnail (you can select as many checkboxes as you want). If you wish to delete everything in the repository, select the checkbox above the videos (below the Search My Media search bar). After you have selected all the videos you wish to be deleted, click on ACTIONS, and then click Delete. Kaltura will show a Delete Confirmation message. Click the red Delete button to complete the process.
Note: The scenario for deleting all videos in a user's media space would be beneficial if you knew that you were not going to reuse any content between semesters or school years and wanted to clear entire the entire space.
Deleting Media using Media Gallery
After entering a Canvas course, select Media Gallery. Click on the video you wish to delete. Below the video player (bottom right) click on the ACTIONS button and then click Delete. Kaltura will show a Delete Confirmation message. Click the red Delete button to complete the process.
