Changing the Save Location for your Zoom Recordings

Overview

It is possible to change the default save location for Zoom recordings so they are easier to find. By default, they are stored in your Documents folder in a sub folder labeled "Zoom". 

Instructions

  1. Within the Zoom client, click the gear icon in the upper right
  2. Click recordings
  3. Click Change to set the new default save location for Zoom recordings


Zoom Records can also be saved to your Google Drive using Google File Stream. The one thing to take note of is that the videos cannot be saved to the root folder in Google Drive, a folder must be created for the video recordings to go into. To change the save location to a Google Drive folder: 

  1. Log into your Google account
  2. Have Google File Stream running on your computer and be signed into it
  3. Create a folder within the G Drive (Google File Stream Drive)
  4. Change the Save location in Zoom to this new folder that you created.
