Overview
Using a free Chrome add-on, users can record their Google Meetings and then download the recordings after the meetings.
Instructions
Step 1: Visit the Chrome Web Store search for the free App named Record Google Meet (as pictured below) and select Add to Chrome.

Step 2: In the secondary pop-up windows, select "Add Extension"

Step 3: Launch the app from the Chrome add-ons

Step 3b: Press the Start Recording button to enable the Recording of Google Meet.
Step 4: Open up a Google Meeting (via Calendar, directly from URL/meeting code, etc.) and follow the various on-screen prompts to allow the use of a microphone, camera, and screen recording.


Step 5: After you Press Start Recording, choose Entire Screen, Window or Chrome Tab (select the icon of the screen to highlight it/enable sharing) and enable the Share System Audio setting
Note: Sharing the entire Screen is the easiest Setting to use.

Step 6: To Stop/Finish the recording Press the Stop Recording button .

Step 7: Allow the video to process DO NOT LEAVE THE PAGE OR YOU MAY LOSE YOUR RECORDING You can continue to work on other things while the video processes. (open a new tab--just make sure not to close the tab that is processing the video).

Step 10: After the video has finished processing, press the Export/Download as .mp4 to download your Google Meet Recording.
