Finding the Link to a Kaltura Virtual Classroom

This article explains how you to can use the Kaltura Virtual Classroom in your ASPIRE advising course for office hours and advising appointments.

Instructions

Each Kaltura Virtual Classroom has a unique link that never changes. By locating this link, you can share it with students who want to meet with you during virtual office hours or for advising appointments. We recommend using your ASPIRE advising course in Canvas since this is a class that never changes. If you don't have an ASPIRE advising course or would like a separate course, you can request it here. Here's how to find the link to your virtual classroom:

1. Log in to Canvas, and enter your ASPIRE advising course (or the course that you want to have the virtual classroom session in).
2. Click on Media Gallery in the course menu.
3. Click on Start Meeting button (located in the right side of the screen).
4. Click on the Invite link in the menu at the top.
5. The direct link to your room is at the top. Click the Copy button to copy it.
6. Share the link with your students.

When it is time for your virtual office hours, go to the Media Gallery in your course and click the Start Meeting button to open the room.
