Signing Up for a Zoom Account

Overview

Zoom is a web-based video conferencing platform that offers polling, chat, breakout rooms, and many other functions. Anyone with an AU email address can create a Zoom account to be able to participate in video conferences. Sign up requires access to your AU email account in Gmail.

Instructions

The instructions below are for creating an account while on your computer. You can also sign up using the Zoom app, but you may be required to confirm the account using your email.

  1. In a web browser, go to anderson.zoom.us
  2. Click the Sign Up button.
  3. Click the Sign in with Google button (below the Sign Up Free area at the top).
  4. Sign in to your AU email account. 
  5. Verify your email address. Click the blue Create Account button.
  6. You will be asked to join AU's account. Click the Join Account option and click the blue Continue button.
  7. You will get a message that your Account has been switched successfully. Click the blue Sign In to Profile Page button to go to the Sign In page.
  8. Click the Sign in with Google button to log in to your new account.
