How To Clear Cache

Clearing your browser cache is important when you need to load an updated version of a webpage, such as the recent AccessAU update.

This process forces the page to re-download everything instead of using old data that had been collected previously.

The exact method varies for each browser so we'll go over the most common ones.

Google Chrome

1)  Open the 3 dot menu on the upper right of the browser and go to Settings

2) On the settings screen click on the Advanced box to reveal more options. From there select Privacy and security and finally click on Clear browsing data.

3) A new menu will pop-up with a Basic and Advanced tab. Switch to Advanced and make sure only Cached images and files is checked. Set the Time range to All Time and click Clear data. Restart the browser to complete the process.

FireFox

1) Click the 3 line menu icon on the upper right side of the browser and go to Options.

2) In the option screen navigate to the Privacy & Security section on the left side. You will need to scroll down a bit to reach the Cookies and Site Data portion. Once there click on the Clear Data.. button.

3) Un-check the box for Cookies and Site Data and then click Clear. Restart the browser to complete the process.

Safari

1) On the Safari menu go to Preferences

2) Go to the Advanced sub-tab

3) On the very bottom of the Advanced tab check the box for Show Develop menu in menu bar

4) Back at the top bar where you first went to Preferences there is a new option named Develop. The drop down menu under it has an option to Empty Caches. Click on it and then restart the browser to complete the process.
