Creating a Multi-File Assignment

Summary

Navigate to Assignments and create a new Assignment. Add an Assignment Name and Description. Assign a Point Value and (if you have weighted grading--move it to the appropriate Assignment Group). For Submission, Type Choose Online and only check Text Entry. Submission Attempts (Choose Unlimted just in case the student fails to submit multiple files the first time). Finally, Choose Assign to Everyone and add a Due Date and optionally add availability dates.

Overview

Instructors can create an assignment type that allows students to submit multiple files in the same submission (this can include documents, pdfs, spreadsheets, videos, etc). All of the files should be viewable within Speedgrader. 

Instructions

Step 1: Create a New Assignment (either through Assignments or through Course Modules)

Step 2: Provide a name for the Assignment
Step 3: Add a description 
Step 4: Add a Point Value, (if the course has weighted grading; move the assignment to the proper group).
Step 5: Choose Submission Type: Online and only check the box labeled Text Entry
Step 6: Add a Due Date and optionally Availability Dates (adding a Due Date will make the Assignment show up on the student's to-do list)
Step 7: Select Save & Publish if you are ready for the Assignment to go live or Save if you still need time to revise & edit the assignment
