Overview
Faculty and staff have both individual and shared network drives for file storage. Below are two ways to access files on the network when you're off-campus.
Using Your AU Computer with the VPN
If you have taken your AU computer home, you access your files like you normally do by connecting to the VPN. This is the easiest way to connect with your files while off-campus.
- Connect to the VPN by following these instructions.
- On your desktop, double-click on the Network Drives icon. If the logo is not on your desktop then copy and paste the following: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp

- You should now be able to access your network drives just as you would on campus.

Accessing Files on MyAU
You can access your network files on the MyAU website. This option is best if you occasionally need to access files. PLEASE NOTE: Unlike the option above, you cannot open, edit, and save a file from the program you are using. Instead, you will need to download the file, open it in a program, make any edits, and then upload the file.
- In a browser, go to myau.anderson.edu.
- Log in using your AU username and password.
- Click on the button for webStorage. (If you don't see it, you can search for webStorage to find it.)
- Your drives will be listed on the left.
