Submitting a Google Assignment

Summary

Google Assignments (LTI 1.3) is the current method to allow students to submit Google type files as assignments. If you have worked on a paper, presentation or spreadsheet via Google, then you will need to use Google Assignments (LTI 1.3) to properly submit the assignment

Overview

Your @anderson.edu is tied to the Google Suite and allows full use of Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets to submit coursework. In order to properly submit a Google file, you will need to choose the option labeled Google Assignments (LTI 1.3)

 

Note: only use this if your instructor has indicated that they want you to use Google Assignments LTI 1.3

Instructions

Step 1: Choose the blue "More" button with three vertical dots
Step 2: Select Google Assignments (LTI 1.3)


Step 3: Press the Select File button and locate the file or files you wish to submit & press the blue Add Button
Step 3b: A warning will appear asking you if it's okay to create a temporary copy of the file for Canvas. Click Attach and wait for the file to upload
Step 4: When you are ready, Click Submit Assignment in the bottom right-hand corner
