Overview

The Zoom Desktop Client must be updated regularly. New updates and security enhancements are constantly being released, and it is important to keep up to date to ensure that your Zoom meeting and computer are both protected. 

Updating the Zoom Client

To update your Zoom Desktop Client, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Zoom Desktop Client
  2. In the upper-right hand corner, click on your profile icon. This may be a letter, or your profile image.
  3. Once you click the icon, a drop down menu will appear. Click on "Check for Updates"
  4. If there is an update available, it will begin to download automatically.
  5. When the download is complete, Zoom will ask if you'd like to update now, or later. Click "Update".
  6. The Zoom Client will restart, and will be updated.
